Yeah when Jack wants to be in denial it's going to take pretty much a miracle for him to get out of it...
I can understand that Jack was in shock after all he'd been through, but to so stubbornly and arrogantly tell Hurley that no, the Island had not been moved after all, borded on patronizing him...Is is really so hard for Jack to admit that he was wrong or, even, that he doesn't know and is not so perfect and always right? Well yes it is very hard for him to do which is, one could argue, quite cowardly to an extent, and Jack just needs to realise that after everything they've been through since they crashed cannot be explained in a way that he feels comfortable with. He just acts horribly immature so much of the time, and it's very annoying!
