I also find Locke's apparent death interesting in terms of the choices he had to make as a kid when Alpert visited him. It's looking more and more like that was indeed an iteration (loop) of Locke's life, and now that he's dead, perhaps that loop as taken place again in a different time and space and perhaps Locke made the right choice this time (the book of laws?). I'm assuming that death restarts the loop for that individual - which should be correct, seeing as time is not linear (in my view)..it's happening all at the same time at different points for everyone.

I think the change of name from 'Locke' to 'Bentham' could also support this idea, because he's effectively transferred from one philosopher to another - question is..(when, yes 'when', he reanimates/rebirths) will this be the 'same' Locke as the Locke we've known for the past 4 seasons? I'm thinking 'no'.

I'm off to find the key distingtions between the two philosophers, as that should make for interesting reading.
