Claire did die afterall.?
So, seeing as she appeared off-island as a dream-like-manifestation to Kate, it would appear that Claire DID indeed die in or from that Rocket attack back in The shape of Things to Come.
By my record (and I have been counting) all manifestation/visions are of dead people - with the exception of Walt and possibly Kate's horse.
RIP Claire..shame she only got interesting in death!
