Hurley isnt one to keep things to himself. I'm not sure if his Dad would tell the press to get the money as Hurley doesnt want his money back and have you seen the size of their house already? 
It would really depend on how much Hurley has told. And I wonder if he has told his father about the island why his Dad would believe him and make that joke when Hurley hasnt exactly been sane his whole life? |

I would not put it past his
Father, even though he did redeem himself halfway through the episode right before
Hurley leaves for the airport. He clearly stuck around after Hurley's

Yes he probably would laugh at Hurley for such a story, true. I wonder whether Hurley will tell anyone at
