Sayid was his normal self, very composed. But yes
Jack seemed the
calmest.
I suppose she believed her
Mother would show up, in spite of
everything that had happened between them. Also, perhaps she was waiting for her
Step-Father to possibly show up?

Good point regarding the '
crash' though we never did find out whether the
Survivors were knocked out or whether they saw the whole thing. Regardless, the "
turbulence" and "
snapping" of the plane in half would have been absolutely terrifying. I swear
Kate has said at some point that she saw everything but I am hazy on that.
