Any plot device that is likely to lead to more yawn-inducing, chemistry-free Jack / Kate scenes has to be bad news.

I have thought so since "Tabula Rasa" and nothing in the interim has given me cause to reconsider. Indeed, as I suspect is the case with many, the only thing that kept me watching back then was that final rotating close-up shot of a superbly creepy-looking Locke (and since the next episode was "Walkabout" I must admit that I was amply compensated for sticking with it
