The flashback was slightly meh, also (apart from the first "fallen from the sky" scene). However, I can't feel too strongly against any episode that reintroduces Old Smokey in such wonderful fashion. The last scene was also rather brilliant, the beautifully straightforward, Hammeresque villainy of Widmore being a superb remedy for all of the moral ambiguity and self-righteousness of most of the more significant characters. How I loved hearing Ben addressed as "boy"

. Almost as good as hearing Locke referred to as "that bald w****r". Never thought I'd miss Charlie so much, but the main characters in this show really need someone to take them down a peg or two every now and again.
