Well, Ben has told a few lies - but so has everyone. I'd classify Ben as one of the lesser perpetraitors of lies, compared to the likes of Katie and Julie.

Well, she wont get the chance to at least do something to help later. Look at Claire..i bet she wishes there was something she could do for Charlie right now..then again, this is CLaire we're speaking about, so perhaps not the best example of compassion.
But seriously, if it were me i'd be there for the man, i'd shield his body with mine and take the bullets, whilst whispering:
