Fair perspective, but I just feel that Jack's actions were more counter productive to keeping the island safe. Sure, Locke crippled one of the fail-safe's, but Jack nullified the other two. He also seemed to be in sounder mind than a Locke who's faith was crippled at the time of letting the timer run down.

I think that a mistake from a test of faith is usually more forgiveable than a mistake resulting from a test of glaring wanring signs.
