Hey that's a nice idea.
I don't personally subscribe to it, as I do think that Miles is fine and simply wants the money cos he's a sell-out con-man who all about the Dollar.
However, you pose an intriuging premise - the idea that his gift is also a
curse and that he is haunted by the dead. This would suggest that he has less 'control' over his ability than we current think (ala Walt, perhaps?) and it would also add a few sympathetic dimensions to his character.
Again, i don't believe this to be the case but it's a nice idea all the same. This angle has room for further development tho
