Yeah, I like the idea about his investments in the island not necessarily being monetary ones..that seems very possibly, although of course his money has enabled him (and Dharma) to indulge their quest for...whatever

As far as him giving Des Penny's address, I think this could be either two cases. Firstly, and these are both pretty twisted options, he does dislike Des and he presumed that the pain Penny could cause Des by rejecting him would be monumental; the second option being that it could even be as a reward for not going through with the marriage. Pretty sick I know but this is Charles Widmore.

Yeah certainly possible..it just seemed a risky thing to do, but yeah it's probably one of those two alternatives.

However I personally don't think that Widmore knows about the bubble curse. I don't think he's ever come into contact with someone who can have the concious space switches, and I don't think he knows anything about constants etc.

Yes, very good idea - he could well know or be in contact with someone who is able to flick between times etc - someone like Jacob, perhaps?

(okay, probably not Jacob, but someone..)

The captain of the Black Rock and the author of the journal did have a name, and I did catch it but unfortunately can't remember it. However it wasn't a name that has been mentioned before, I'm sure of that.

Yeah, I also caught the name, but immediately forgot it. Will rewatch and find out.
