Wow....so Lost is back! After months of waiting we finally got to watch it...and it certainly came back with a bang! I always seem to find that i have so much to say about each episode, yet when i come on here to post my ideas i've forgotten them all!! Which has happened again this time...i feel i should start writing things down while i'm watching it!! Anyway, here's a few things...
- I loved how it had another flashforward - interesting stuff. I wonder whether every episode will contain a flashforward now instead of a flashback? Although if you look at it the other way, the 'flashforward' could actually be the present, and its showing a flashback to the island...hmm. Anyway i loved how they are referred to as 'the Oceanic six'! Pure genius. lol. So that means six get rescued...obviously Jack, Kate and Hurley....though who else?
It appears that Jack was right along the line somewhere, because Hurley said "I should have come with you". However i find it strange that it's not one of the 2 groups that get rescued, it's various members from each...very odd! I wonder how that works?..... My guess about the whole situation is that the 6 of them have an opportunity to get off the island and they do it, to save themselves, without a thought about the others. And they obviously pretend that they were the only survivors....but i think that one by one they will realise that what they did was wrong, that they can't lie any more, and that they need to go back for the rest of the losties. I guess Hurley is the first to crack, as Jack was ok then, but then as we saw in S3 Jack eventually cracks too. So the big question, what DID they do to save themselves? Very interesting. And who was in the coffin?

Would they be forever in hiding..or did some of them manage to leave. It's perhaps worth considering that this could be a good platform for the man in the coffin, because the Oceanic 6 are seemingly 'celebrities' - the man in the coffin seems not to have that status (- yet Jack clearly had a connection with him), which could suggest he was not an Oceanic 815 passenger

That's a really good point Roco, i'm glad you pointed that out. I assumed that the person in the coffin was one of the 6, but after you made that point i am more convinced that ever that the person in the coffin was Michael.
Moving on...to Charlie :'( how i missed him in this episode!! I knew i would, but it was so prominent, it felt like there was a big gaping hole somewhere. Gosh i miss him already! I wish he hadn't died! The bit where they had to tell Hurley was awful, and when Hurley told Claire was positively heartbreaking

that was so emotional, and really well acted i think. And Hurley was so admirable for going against Jack just because of Charlie's message. (Ooh, a question. Who stayed with Jack & Kate? I couldnt quite work that out...) Anyway. Charlie appearing at Santa Rosa was obviously a representation of Hurley's subconscious. He is feeling guilty about whatever he did and he knows he has to go back. Oh, and the bit where Charlie swam in and 'broke the glass' at the police station scared the absolute crap out of me!!
The guy who visited Hurley in the mental hospital...i wonder who he really is? He clearly isnt a representative for Oceanic...its more likely that he is a member of Mittelos or something, trying to find out what happened on the island.
- About the whole 'Jacob' incident....i really didnt know what to make of it! Fantastic stuff, though. The bit with the moving hut was so freaky, it reminded me of a really old horror movie or something. So whats going on with that? How come Hurley saw it? Its like it was coming to find him. It wanted him to see it. If that makes sense. And what about CHRISTIAN?? When i watched it i didnt have a very clear picture (ahem) so i didnt even see anyone sitting in the chair, but my dad said he saw someone and then i saw the pictures of Christian!! I was amazed. So, is he Jacob? I have been saying that for ages now, but its probably a red herring...i just dont think the writers would reveal Jacob's identity yet. But if thats the case, what on earth was Christian doing in Jacob's hut?! The black smoke, maybe?
Ooh...i can't remember much else right now. I know i have more things to say though....i'll be back when i've remembered!
